| Club announcements- Mike Heller said the date for our preparing dinner at Shelter Inc. has been changed to Sunday June 5. John Sherry- Debunking will be June 12 at Roya’s Garlic Garden. We will have exclusive use of the restaurant. Bob Shusta told us Concert at the Res plans are going well and asked all to sign up for the event or indicate that they will be absent from the area on May 14th. He asked for Van owners help ferry folks. Ron Wake said that money can be given to the Rotary Foundation for Japan Earthquake relief. DISTRICT CONFERRENCE APRIL 16 was mentioned by Troy F. A very thin Alan Mac gracefully gave [via Jay L.] $54.00 for his birthday. Alan needs to show-up more often to thicken-up! HAPPY DOLLARS $$$$$$ & fines Bob Shusta experienced a loud noise causing him to take his vehicle to the Toyota garage to determine the cause. After spending 1 ½ hours it turned out to be a megaphone in a box! Bob said it cost him $49.95. Toyota has fantastic rates! Tom Courtright was shocked back to a regular heart beat so he was very happy. Maurice Williams for Son’s birthday and having two others graduating! Bill Eames found $20.00 on the floor and donated it to the Rotary Foundation. Mo ask John S. “where is your past president badge?” Gave John a $5 fine. Debbie Cooper was happy to have her abode back to normal after suffering a flood January 6th. Bob Aguilar sold raffle tickets at Diablo Foods and said some folks just gave him money and did not want the tickets. We do not know what Bob’s technique is. Larry Blodgett gave us an admonition to be on the lookout for his daughter turned 16 and now driving. Look for BLODGETT plates. They are also off to Disneyland. Troy Feddersen’s son competed in a Science Foundation event and was awarded a $500.00 prize for study of a more effective cancer treatment by use on irradiated metals. There was other H$. Please forgive the lack of acknowledgement. [More confusion] The Speaker- fellow member Daniel Barnes described Fantasy Baseball and how it is played. It was originally named rotisserie sports. You are limited to a salary cap and total expendable funds to select the players for their imaginary teams. |
